Dr Andrea Looney visits from Cornell
February 26th, 2012We were pleased to welcome Dr. Andrea Looney from Cornell university. Dr. Looney is a world-renowned anesthesiologist and was also a teacher of Dr. Foley and Dr. Michael’s.
Dr Looney came down to our Bayside facility , The North Shore Animal Hospital, but our employees from the south bellmore Veterinary Group also attended (The drive from Bellmore and Merrick into Bayside was no problem whatsoever)!!!
The lecture was very informative and we have already made changes to our protocols. Thanks Dr Looney
Underwater treadmill therapy in Bayside facility
February 26th, 2012Dr Foley, /Dr Rosen and Dr Ferber are happy to see that clients from South Bellmore Veterinary Group have been taking advantage of the underwater treadmill that is in their Bayside Facility. A number of clients from Bellmore and Merrick and North Merrick have been driving over to Bayside during office hours and have found the underwater treadmill to be indispensable. Ty, one of our laboradors who is suffering from early arthritis and hip dysplasia can now walk up the stairs without pain and is back on the mend. He is a new dog
Dr. Michael’s anterior cruciate repairs have found the treadmill to be an invaluable tool to getting dogs back on their feet post-operatively. Shane Carson , a Cane Corso, is one example of a dog who made the trip from Merrick to Bayside.
